The Jolly Month of Europe in the European Metropolis of Lille: a month to celebrate Europe, its projects, and its citizens!

Programme à retrouver en version PDF HERE or in Calameo HERE

May 2025 in the European Metropole of Lille! Coordinated by Interphaz, with the support of the European Commission, the Hauts-de-France Region, the City of Lille and the MEL, the Jolly month of Europe is once again inviting us to our neighbourhoods, our streets, our places of culture and exchange.

Throughout the month, many events will illustrate in concrete terms the European values: inclusion, diversity, solidarity, youth, mobility, culture and democracy. Conferences, exhibitions, creative workshops, actions in the public space, concerts and festive times... so many opportunities to discover the impact of projects co-financed by the European Union through its programmes, and to participate in a collective and inspiring dynamic.

Saturday, May 10, a highlight not to be missed!

The highlight not to be missed? On Saturday, May 10, the City of Lille invites you to a festive day at the International Passage in the Fives-Cail ecoquartier, in partnership with Chaud Bouillon and Interphaz Europe Direct. Tales, shared cuisine, DJ set, rap workshop, exhibitions, interactive stands, mobile library... a whole day to celebrate Europe in its cultural, social and citizen diversity, in the wake of Europe Day of 9 May, anniversary of the Schuman Declaration and founding act of European integration.

Discover here our rich and varied program, from May 1 to June 1, 2025, in PDF version and in Calameo.

To give you a first taste of the program, expect to:

  • Lectures on wartime architecture, migration policies, digital citizenship, and media freedom in Poland;
  • educational and informative exhibitions (Ukraine, Treaty of Elysée, Europe for young people, etc.);
  • street actions, European quizzes, creative workshops;
  • festive times, European screenings, and moments of sharing in Marcq-en-Barœul, Haubourdin, Lambersart, Villeneuve-d-Ascq, Roubaix, Lille...

The Jolly month of Europe is also an invitation to publicise EU co-financed projects, inspire other local actors, and strengthen links between citizens and institutions. It is still time to participate, value your projects, and register your initiatives on the platform OpenAgenda.
